water lily

Mommy bought this water lily plant for me as she knew I wanted water lily in the garden very much.
Last two weeks, when mommy went to nursery , I accompanied her and I chose one big pot. So mommy asked what for I wanted that big pot. I replied I wanted to plant water lily inside that pot.
On the way back home from the nursery ( on highway) , there were some water lily at the rode side. When I tried to take those water lily plants, it was so difficult to take it. Those wild water lily plants are very big and not for garden. My sleeves and pants were dirty with mud and water. But I got one water lily leaf. :P

On that day , I was thinking how to take that water lily . And so I asked my sister to join me taking water lily from that road side. She said she would ask her friend, they would accompany me, but they won't help me taking water lily. Because they don't want they are dirty with mud.
I said OK, just accompanying is OK.

But when I got back from work, I was surprised by this water lily. I am so happy.
Mommy bought it from the market. It cost RM 140 , expensive compared to my mommy's orchids.

something for my phone

My sister bought me this for my phone.
Ohh oh..my phone is not good. For my birthday, my mommy wants to give me Nikon D40 camera which I want most. Mommy knows I am crazy for that camera. But I am not professional photographer . So I decided not to let her buy that.
My daddy wants to buy new phone for me, but I think , my phone can be used and still works.
So I don't want new phone. I don't want someone spends money for me.
There are a lot of starving people in the world. I am not starving and I have shelter.
My life is not that bad compared to the cyclone victims.
I want to share my belongings with the people who are starving and trying to survive without shelter.

Hilsa fish curry

1. one Hilsa fish
2. two big onion
3. two tomatoes
4. 4 cloves of garlic and a little ginger
5. three spoons of cooking oil
6. venegar
7. chili powder
8. tumeric powder
9. salt
10. fish gravy
11. sugar

Cut Hilsa fish into 3 pieces and wash with water.
Put the fish in slow cooker and cook together with a little salt, tumeric powder and 2 spoons of venegar for about 10 hours.

Slice tomatoes and onion.

Crush the garlic and ginger. Boil the cooking oil in the pan, and then cook garlic and ginger together with tumeric powder and chili powder for one minute.

Add tomatoe and onion, after that , add the hilsa fish and cook together with small amount of sugar and fish gravy until the oil comes up the surface.

Ready to serve.
This is my favourite curry. You can eat the fish's bones. The fish was cooked in slow cooker for 10 hours and the bones are already softened because of the venegar.
This is the first time I cook this curry in my life .

Mommy used to cook this fish.

Last week , I told my mommy that I wanted to eat this curry.
But I didn't know how to cook this fish.

Mommy told me that if she cooked for me , how I could know the cooking tips.

And so I asked her the receipes and I went to Boulevard hypermarket and bought the fish two days ago.
Yesterday I cooked it in slow cooker and I kept it in refridgerator last night.
I cooked it this morning. When it was ready to serve, I was the first person who sat at the dining table.
:)
Because this is my favourite curry since childhood.

flowers beside G-3 in my campus

snow

These days, the weather here looks like the weather in my native land.
This place has only one season, raining and sunny all year long.
But these days, weather in the morning is a bit same as my country .
I saw snow on the grass. I really miss my country.
When I see this kind of weather, I miss my childhood days.
When I came to work in the morning 7:30 am,I saw this weather, I felt something and I walked
to the lake.
I miss my Yangon University whenever I see this lake in this campus.
I miss Inya Lake which is so famous for many reasons at my Yangon University.
